Will the routes be signposted?2022-06-07T19:19:09+00:00

We do not arrow out routes, because this is impossible work with a gravel route and a road route (both 3 distances) and because arrowed routes are often sabotaged. Moreover, it is out of date, as nowadays almost everyone has a bike computer.

That's why everyone will receive the GPX files of the routes from us, so that you can cycle them on your own. either during the Grenspalenklassieker or at a later time if you want to cycle them again with your friends.

Are the start and finish of the tours at the same locations?2021-11-16T15:29:08+00:00

The start and finish locations of the Grenspalenklassieker in Limburg, Brabant and Zeeland are the same.
So you cycle around and return to the location where you started and where your car is.

The Border Pole Classic Xtreme in 2022 starts at border post 369 in Cadzand-Bad and finishes at border post 1 in Vaals.
So make sure you arrange your own transport!

Is the Xtreme Full Edition a race or a touring event?2020-11-27T14:21:58+00:00

There will indeed be game elements in it that make it look like a race, but during the Xtreme Full Edition, the focus is on the experience. There will be participants who want to be the first to reach the coast within 24 hours, but we are just as happy to have participants who join just for the experience and take a few days.

The fastest duo and the fastest solo ride earn the title of Border Pole King Der Lage Landen.
But there will also be prizes for the longest route, the route with the most boundary posts and the slowest participant(s), among others.
The great thing is, everyone sets their own pace, their own route and experiences this Xtreme Full Edition in their own way!

Is it best to ride the tours on a road bike or gravel bike?2020-11-30T08:52:12+00:00

At all three tours in Limburg, Brabant and Zeeland, we offer two types of routes.

  1. Gravel routes that are at least half off-road with lots of gravel and/or dirt roads. These are only suitable for gravel bikes (minimum 30 mm tyres) and mountain bikes! Note, The gravel route in Limburg contains technical sections with sharp stones. So watch out on the descents and make sure you bring enough inner tubes!
  2. Road routes with a chance of some gravel and dirt roads, but these are fine to ride on a road bike.

Before the tours start, everyone will be given both routes to choose from.
